Black Friday | Black Friday Sales | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Hey all! Happy Thanksgiving! I had the biggest smile when I walked out of work yesterday thinking about the special traditions Eric and I have on this holiday – watching the parade, baking/cooking thanksgiving dinner together, football & snacks, drinking eggnog and watching National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, decorating for Christmas, and much more.   I remember a few occasions with my sisters of braving the mall and stores for “Black Friday” and now it’s so easy to beat the craziness and just shop online! Does anyone else feel like their emails have said “Black Friday Deals” the entire month of November?! LOL! It seems to be earlier every year, and some amazing deals are available NOW! Are you ready to get your shop on!? I … Read More

Gifting Season | Gift Ideas | Gift Guide | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Gifting season is right around the corner, and now is the time to start finding all of those special gifts for everyone on your list! Honestly, I’m always looking for ideas beyond giving clothing or a gift card (although I enjoy giving those things, too!), so in this “gift guide” post, I rounded up a bunch of unique gift ideas. I had so much fun thinking of things people usually love and notice when out shopping, but would rarely get for themselves on any given day. When all is said and done, and the holiday wrapping lays torn across the floor, our hearts will be full of new memories, and the gifts will just be an added loving touch. Take … Read More

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | Nordstrom | Giveaway | Teacherfashionista

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: What I Bought The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is SO good, guys, although I was disappointed in this year’s affordable dress selection. Have any of you already done your shopping? I can’t wait for my purchases to arrive so I can share what I bought! …I had so many things in my cart, and when I went to the check out had to narrow it down based on the list I had made before the sale started. Good thing I had done that… IT WAS HARD! I was dying over all of the great basic sweaters and sweatshirts this year, but really felt I needed to update in other areas of my closet. I ended up with things … Read More

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale | Nordstrom | Budget Shopping | Teacherfashionista

Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale on a budget?! I know that literally hundreds of bloggers will be covering this popular sale, but I am hoping to cover things that I look for, purchase as a teacher on a budget, as well as my favorite picks under $50. Last year I blogged about the big SALE in this post, and had a blast sharing my shopping experience. There is so much hype around the sale, and honestly I didn’t even know it existed until I started following mega fashion bloggers 3+ years ago. Once I started learning what the sale was all about, I began using it to shop for staples and additions to my wardrobe that can be worn multiple … Read More

Brittany's Baby Shower | Baby Shower | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Today you’re getting something new from my blog: A guest post! I had the absolute honor of co-hosting a baby shower for my Instagram-turned-real-life-friend Brittany. She used to be a teacher, and we both love eating and girl time, so we hit it off right away. I am blessed to know her, and can hardly wait to meet her baby girl. Today, she is sharing all of the details on her beautiful baby shower along with some amazing local Phoenix vendors. Two Sundays ago I had the baby shower of my dreams. The entire day was so magical.  I felt unbelievably grateful having a group of some of the most special people in my life come out to celebrate me and … Read More

White Easter Dress | Scalloped Hem | Teacherfashionista | Jules

My fashion journey today stems from my past “obsession” when I was younger (read more here), and Easter fashion is no exception! When I was a little girl, my favorite thing about Easter was picking out which spring dress I was going to pull out for Easter Sunday’s church service. My sisters and I always did this together, and it was so fun putting those black Mary Janes away and pulling out our white sandals. This memory lives on for me even still! I love finding a dress that emulates the spring season. With all of the fun that comes with Easter, in thankfulness I pause for the sacrifice that was made for you and me – the reason we celebrate Easter. Jesus said to her, … Read More

Holiday Party | Holiday Dress | Faux Wrap Dress | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Finding a party look that works for cold temperatures can be challenging at times. Lace, elbow sleeves, comfort, and a flattering silhouette are some of the first things I search for when it comes to planning a holiday party outfit. Normally, I am all about finding a color or displaying my love for sequins and sparkle around Christmas or New Year’s, but the fit of this dress and the classy vibe it gives off drew me right in! I love classic pieces, and who doesn’t swoon over a flattering wrap dress? This faux-wrap dress is easy to wear and looks put together. The fabric is casual, but I dressed it up a lot by adding sparkle with my heels and shiny necklace. Picture a … Read More

Casual Holiday Wear | Teacherfashionista | Jules

How was your Thanksgiving holiday? Did any of you get out to shop over Black Friday? E and I had the best little getaway over Thanksgiving at a rental cabin 3 hours north of Phoenix. It was chilly with lows in the 20’s and highs in the 40’s – so we stayed cozy inside, eating our turkey near the heat, and watching Christmas movies together with our 2 pups. Friday we went out exploring nearby, and took our dogs on a walk in the woods once the temperatures got above 40 degrees. Friday was a chance for me to break out a festive-looking outfit! Not only were we driving around site-seeing in perfectly chilly weather, we also got lunch, and then … Read More
