Ruffle Sleeve Dress | Fall Floral Dress | Teacherfashionista | Jules

The bell and ruffle sleeve trend is so popular right now! I have had such a hard time finding a style that works for me, though, without feeling like they’re going to slip into my food or get in my way even with my long arms. Every time I’ve been to Old Navy recently, I have to admit that I absolutely couldn’t stop looking at how pretty this gray and cream floral print was! I passed on it a few times while I browsed through all of the pretty new clothes in the store, until I decided to just give it a try-on since the ruffle sleeves were a 3/4 length. Let me tell you, I just died over the … Read More

Maxi Dress Dream

This dress from Fashion Junkee is such a dream! Seriously. I have worn it once a week since I got it… to work, to church, shopping, and to dinner. Not only is the large floral pattern so feminine, the tube top is not too tight, and the dress has super cute pockets! I also just love it because it goes anywhere – dressed up or down, and it is such an easy yet put-together outfit. Whenever I wear tube tops, I love pairing them with bigger statement pieces, so this long beaded necklace worked perfectly. Maxi dresses are a summer staple in my closet – I could never own too many. I took this dress to work with a white denim vest. I … Read More

Today I am featuring the beautiful boutique Grace & Lace. The story behind the start of this shop is so touching, and I am honored to style some of their pieces. They have been featured on shows like Shark Tank and The View – so fans – check them out! Nothing welcomes spring like bright colors! Their Ikat Wrap comes in two colors and can be worn as a wrap, vest, scarf, or swimsuit cover-up. Anyone who knows me and my budget-friendly “hunts” all over the web knows I totally enjoy pieces that are versatile – so I love this wrap! I styled it a few different ways and thought the colorful pattern went so nicely with stripes! _________________________ Worn as a Wrap Outfit Details: Striped Dress  |  Ikat Wrap  … Read More

You may have noticed (especially if you follow along on Instagram) that I have had so much fun layering with dresses! I guess in Arizona, our temperatures allow us to do that pretty easily during our “cool” months. I wanted to share a recent gem I found – a navy swing dress! Old Navy sold the most beautiful burgundy dress in the fall season (see that post here), and unfortunately I was too late to order it in more than one color. Since the day it sold out, I have been on the hunt for a dress just like it. And friends, my search is up! This dress is from SheIn Clothing, and is long enough for work, and the material is thick and flattering. It comes … Read More

Winter Plaid

January is here! Full swing into winter! I especially love pulling out blacks and whites, and then adding pops of color with either a vest, bag, scarf, or jewelry. With the season comes the promise of boots and tights weather, and it is so fun to find pretty little dresses to go with them! I received this dress for my birthday from my sister and think it’s a gorgeous winter plaid. I found that pairing it with tights (or even leggings) really brought it into the colder season. Styling Winter Plaid Since Arizona gets such a mild winter, I thought the sleeves looked cute cuffed up, although the sleeve length was just perfect when they were left down, too! E gave me this beautiful cross body bag for my … Read More

Today I am sharing a small business with you – The Market Boutique! I am featuring their knit sweater vest which comes in a variety of colors. This little business is based in Carrollton, Georgia, and has some trendy pieces for any woman. Some of my favorite things they carry are scarves and dresses, and they also carry plus sizes! The best part about shopping with a small boutique? Finding unique clothing and accessories — and that is exactly what I found in this sweater vest. Think blanket cardigan turned vest! Styling a Sweater Vest I paired the vest with my favorite Suki Flare Jeans from Silver Jeans, and I also think they’d look great with Silver’s Suki Skinnies and some brown boots like these! Swing dresses have to be the most flattering dresses out there. They are comfortable and roomy, yet girly and flattering. This fits all body types! The burgundy and maroon hues are so trendy right now, so imagine my excitement when I found a swing dress in this beautiful color! I paired my swing dress with a Le Boutique Shop blanket scarf. There are numerous colors to choose from on this boutique’s site – so go take a look! If you are considering shopping around on Small Business Saturday this weekend (following the Black Friday madness), consider shopping with Le Boutique Shop. Olive Green Jacket

Olive green has been a “hot hue” for a few years now, and this fall, I decided to find one of those coveted green, military-inspired jackets. Finding the perfect one proved to be difficult because there are so many to choose from! Being on a teacher’s budget, I didn’t want to spend over $100 on a jacket. So when I saw this one for under $50, I knew I had to try it! Dressing the Olive Jacket Trend I chose peep-toe booties to wear with this outfit to bring it into our fall season. I also really like how the taupe-colored top accents the olive green. This is the top I posted on Instagram a while back that has darling ruffle sleeves. If the sun … Read More

Dare to Flare

Hello 70’s! I am one of those people who is excited to see flare jeans again! They add some diversity when I’m making choices on which “bottoms” to wear instead of just the go-to skinnies. Silver Jeans have been my favorite fit in jeans since I was in high school. I have had various washes and styles ranging from boot cut to skinnies, and have loved them all. Suki Mid Flare Jeans Today I’m wearing a new style: the Suki Mid Flare by Silver Jeans Co. I am a girl with curves in the middle (if you know what I mean), and I don’t want gaping around the waist because of that – which is what brought me to the Silver Jeans brand years … Read More
