Happy Saturday, all! Today I’m featuring a casual tank from Shop Sunday Brunch! This is a new boutique, and I have enjoyed getting to know Angie – the gal behind it all – through Instagram. This racer back tank finishes off a perfect weekend look. I love, no, I mean loooooove going to brunch and I love all brunch foods and drinks, so this tank speaks to me! Styling my “You had me at Brunch” Tank It looks adorable with distressed skinnies, and it will flow right into summer with denim or colored shorts, too. Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m highlighting spring [and summer] dresses under $30 with Forever 21. I have put together two shopping boards below. One board showcases must-have maxis you’ll wear all summer, and one displays short dresses that will take you to family & friend reunions, shopping dates, coffee and brunch on the weekends, and everything in between! (Note that Forever 21 offers free shipping on orders over $50.) Budget Friendly Maxi Dresses I adore the wispy pastel colors and the floral patterns that are everywhere for spring right now! I appreciate how many of these maxi dresses also measure longer, so depending on how tall you are – flat strappy sandals or cute wedges will take these dresses anywhere. They are also a perfect transition … Read More

The Weekend Dress you NEED

Hi all! Happy Sunday! In Arizona, spring has arrived in full force – meaning we are already hitting 90 degrees. This heat is REAL. My husband and I enjoyed a festival in Scottsdale late Saturday afternoon and I just had to share my outfit! I think it ended up being so comfy yet stylish. Whenever E and I plan to attend a local event, I’m one of those girls who has to google for photos to see what everyone usually wears. I like to see a full mix of styles before I pick an outfit. (Self conscious, YES! That’s me!)  Well, for one of the first times EVER, I had this outfit picked out way ahead of time! It is that good! GIRLS! Look … Read More

Denim Jacket + Striped Dress

Today I am sharing again from a small business – The Market Boutique! I am featuring their short-sleeved Harper Striped Dress in Taupe and Red. With the cooler winter/spring temperatures that are often still surrounding us, I decided to layer the dress with a light-wash denim jacket. I wore my favorite OTK boots, too, and it brought out the taupe color in the dress. This dress is quite a bit shorter in the front, so my OTK boots worked fabulous! It has a high-low hem, with a blousing detail on the back of the dress between the shoulders (seen in the website photos here). Ooh La Leggings is running a Valentines special – so if you would like to get some leggings, use the code ‘OOHLAVDAY‘ at check out and all leggings will be buy one get one free now through the end of February! I have my … Read More

Lapel Blazer

Some weeks I can hardly WAIT for another weekend! Eric and I usually do an activity whether it’s hiking, brunching (yes I’m calling that an activity, lol!), driving around, enjoying a local event, or hanging out with friends. Right now the weather in Arizona is amazing and is calling for light long sleeves. However, by mid afternoon, I’m ready for short sleeves! A wonderful solution to this dare I say, “problem” – is a casual blazer. I love how it keeps me warm enough while still allowing me to wear short sleeves underneath in case I get too warm. It also kind of dresses up my outfit at the same time – win win! Styling a Lapel Blazer with my Mimosa Tee This … Read More

December Outfit | Holiday Outfit | Teacherfashionista | Jules

To celebrate the long MLK Jr. Holiday weekend, E and I traveled almost 2 hours north to enjoy some peace and solitude in the snow! We packed up the truck and our two pups, and had such a fun and relaxing time at a cabin! While we were there, I couldn’t resist taking some photos in the snow. I decided this would be a beautiful place to showcase the new Suki Mid Skinny destroyed denim by Silver Jeans! I have shared in this post why I love the Suki fit.  They hug my body so well, and I am in LOVE with the distresses on this pair. Tunics are such a fabulous piece to have in your wardrobe for fall and winter! They are long and flowy, and can take you from work to a night out, and into the weekend with style. I found my tunic at Nordstrom Rack for a little over $30, and also saw this similar one for those of you who may not want a collar. (I also usually layer my tunics with a cami like this one.) 3 Ways to Style your Tunic to help Maximize your Wardrobe (Please pardon the way my tunic is glowing in these photos – that’s the beauty of using an iPhone & snap remote!) 1. Take your Tunic to Work or Meetings For a winter look, I paired my … Read More

Winter Plaid

January is here! Full swing into winter! I especially love pulling out blacks and whites, and then adding pops of color with either a vest, bag, scarf, or jewelry. With the season comes the promise of boots and tights weather, and it is so fun to find pretty little dresses to go with them! I received this dress for my birthday from my sister and think it’s a gorgeous winter plaid. I found that pairing it with tights (or even leggings) really brought it into the colder season. Styling Winter Plaid Since Arizona gets such a mild winter, I thought the sleeves looked cute cuffed up, although the sleeve length was just perfect when they were left down, too! E gave me this beautiful cross body bag for my … Read More
