Casual Holiday Wear | Teacherfashionista | Jules

How was your Thanksgiving holiday? Did any of you get out to shop over Black Friday? E and I had the best little getaway over Thanksgiving at a rental cabin 3 hours north of Phoenix. It was chilly with lows in the 20’s and highs in the 40’s – so we stayed cozy inside, eating our turkey near the heat, and watching Christmas movies together with our 2 pups. Friday we went out exploring nearby, and took our dogs on a walk in the woods once the temperatures got above 40 degrees. Friday was a chance for me to break out a festive-looking outfit! Not only were we driving around site-seeing in perfectly chilly weather, we also got lunch, and then … Read More

Army Green Waterfall Cardigan | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Happy Thanksgiving week! What is everyone doing over the holiday weekend? E and I are driving north 2 hours with our two pups to a cabin for a few days to enjoy the fact that November has finally brought us some clouds and cool temperatures! I just love this “fall in Arizona” time of year! It’s time to pull out the long sleeves, boots, and sweaters. After almost 9 months in my summer clothes and shoes, I am so happy to pull out pieces like this beautiful olive green waterfall cardigan! Not only am I in love with the color, I think the waterfall front is so feminine and adds a unique look to this tie top. It’s polyester, so this is … Read More

Flare Jeans + Off the Shoulder Top

Today I’m sharing two old trends I love that have come back around: flare jeans and off-the-shoulder tops! Flares with heels or wedges give girls the opportunity to sport something other than skinny jeans. Let’s face it – if you’re like me, there are days you just don’t want to squeeze into your skinnies, lol! Off-the-shoulder tops are such feminine pieces. If you find just the right one, it can go with quite a few outfits. I like a simple style like this one from She-In. It is PERFECT because you can wear the “sleeves” off the shoulders or pull the “sleeves” up for more modesty. Vibrant Summer Maxi

Bennie C’s Boutique has a number of affordable, simple, and beautiful clothing choices. I enjoy finding these little boutiques because then you end up with unique pieces you don’t see on everyone else. Here I go again – expanding the maxi dress section of my closet. And I don’t mind one little bit! The vibrant colors in this maxi make it stand out in any crowd. It is a perfect choice for a warm, summer day as the material is light-weight, and it has side slits to the knees on both sides. The dress is lined, which is nice so you don’t get stuck trying to wear a slip on a hot day. I found wearing a bandeau helped me feel comfortable and modest, and you … Read More

Maxi Dress Dream

This dress from Fashion Junkee is such a dream! Seriously. I have worn it once a week since I got it… to work, to church, shopping, and to dinner. Not only is the large floral pattern so feminine, the tube top is not too tight, and the dress has super cute pockets! I also just love it because it goes anywhere – dressed up or down, and it is such an easy yet put-together outfit. Whenever I wear tube tops, I love pairing them with bigger statement pieces, so this long beaded necklace worked perfectly. Maxi dresses are a summer staple in my closet – I could never own too many. I took this dress to work with a white denim vest. I … Read More

Part of being a budget-conscious shopper is stretching your closet staples to fit into more than one season. Booties are so great for this! These faux-suede lace-up cut-out booties are from Fashion Junkee and also come in gray and camel brown. They are SO trendy right now the way they wrap around your ankles with such fun tassel ties. Take them from fall into spring and summer with these style tips: Find an ankle style with some openings in the design whether with a peep toe, cut-outs, or lace-ups. Pair them with shorts. Find some frayed, distressed denim in white, black, or blue jean. Make it a boho look with a summer vest or kimono, duster, wrap, or oversized sweater (for those cool nights). Match them to one of … Read More

Today I am featuring Fashion Junkee, a company founded with “a vision of providing fun and flirty styles for every woman.” Their swing dress will be a fabulous fit for any body-type out there! I love the floral pattern because it’s such a trend right now. The choker neckline with a button closure gives the dress a unique spin, and the causal sleeveless top makes it look effortless. I chose to bring out black as an accent and paired this swing beauty with a black bandeau, black wallet crossbody, and black lace-up sandals. For those of you that are more of an average height like me, you can take this dress to work! Add a denim jacket or vest, a black blazer, or a flowing boho vest and you … Read More

Outfit Details:  |  Shorts  (These run small-I am in a medium) |  Tee  (I am in a small)  |  Sunglasses  |  Saddle Bag  | With the temperatures in Arizona hitting over 100 degrees this week, I couldn’t help but think about my weekend ahead and how excited I am to pull out a favorite pair of shorts and a causal graphic tee! Weekends (especially Saturdays) were meant for relaxing, brunching, running errands, shopping, house work, road trips, and more — and what better way to do it all than in a stylish summer tee. Today’s post was inspired by my pineapple tee I just love for right under $10. Need some summer tee inspiration? I rounded up a bunch of fun graphic tees and created … Read More
