Today I am featuring the beautiful boutique Grace & Lace. The story behind the start of this shop is so touching, and I am honored to style some of their pieces. They have been featured on shows like Shark Tank and The View – so fans – check them out! Nothing welcomes spring like bright colors! Their Ikat Wrap comes in two colors and can be worn as a wrap, vest, scarf, or swimsuit cover-up. Anyone who knows me and my budget-friendly “hunts” all over the web knows I totally enjoy pieces that are versatile – so I love this wrap! I styled it a few different ways and thought the colorful pattern went so nicely with stripes! _________________________ Worn as a Wrap Outfit Details: Striped Dress  |  Ikat Wrap  … Read More

Chambray Dress and Tassel Accessories

Today I’m sharing a look that is summer ready! I love chambray and all of the denim trends that are out right now, and this dress is so fun with the eyelet designs along the bottom of the hem! One thing I especially enjoy about styling chambray is how neutral it is. This makes it one of my favorite fabrics to add colors and extras to! I decided to accessorize this chambray dress with tassels – tassel earrings and Sshoes tassel wedges. Now I feel like I need to invest in a tassel crossbody bag or satchel… any suggestions? (Outfit details listed below.) In case you haven’t heard about Ssh Shoes, I wanted you to know they are designed to be comfortable and quiet. They have … Read More

March Instagram Round-up

At the end of every month, I like to post my 4 top favorite #ootd’s (outfits of the day) on my Instagram. Now that I have a blog going, I thought it might be helpful to ’round up’ the looks and list the details below (similar details are listed if the exact piece is not available). I have 7 work styles from March, and 3 weekend ootd’s. The weather in Arizona has been pretty up and down with near 90 degree temperatures to temps in the low 60’s (which then feels freezing!).  I noticed as I was putting this all together that I have been very into stripes, blacks, whites, and blues… pretty normal for me! See all #ootd details below. – – … Read More

Easter Sunday Best

Easter brings to mind all things floral, spring, warm, pastel, and for me… even chocolate! When I was a little girl, my favorite thing about Easter was picking out which spring dress I was going to pull out for Easter Sunday’s church service. This memory lives on for me even still! I love finding a dress that emulates the spring season. In all of this fashionista fun, I stop in thankfulness for the sacrifice that was made for my soul, for your soul. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” – John 11:25-26 Jesus died as sacrifice for … Read More

Short Spring Shift Dress

Today I am talking about this colorful number from She In Clothing! I LOVE this dress. The reviews were raving and I am joining right in there with them! This is a short shift dress – perfect for a warm spring or summer date night or perhaps a wedding or special event! It is made of thick material and is also lined. I wore a strapless bra under mine so the straps and bra wouldn’t peep out the sides, but you could also do a stick-on bra or something similar. I spruced up the look with black accessories. My sister was so sweet to give me these fun fringe heels to use for a few months before spring hits Minnesota, and … Read More

Happy Saturday, all! Today I’m featuring a casual tank from Shop Sunday Brunch! This is a new boutique, and I have enjoyed getting to know Angie – the gal behind it all – through Instagram. This racer back tank finishes off a perfect weekend look. I love, no, I mean loooooove going to brunch and I love all brunch foods and drinks, so this tank speaks to me! Styling my “You had me at Brunch” Tank It looks adorable with distressed skinnies, and it will flow right into summer with denim or colored shorts, too. The material is rayon and spandex, so it is soft and comfortable. Outfit Details: Distressed Silver Jeans  |  Brunch Tank (I’m in a Medium)  |  Bucket Bag  | … Read More

Pastel Pink Blouse

During our transitional months from “winter” into spring in Arizona, our evenings are still pretty cool. So, when I look for something to wear on any given date night, I gravitate toward light long sleeves, and sometimes will tote a jacket along just in case. This pastel pink top is from She In, and works perfectly for a spring night out! Styling a Blouse for a Night Out I decided to wear it tucked into some slightly distressed skinnies, and then paired it with some ankle-strap pointy heels. I wore a cami underneath the blouse, as it is shear. The bottom edges of the blouse are straight and flowy, and should you decide to wear it untucked, it flows loosely. The … Read More

The Weekend Dress you NEED

Teacher FashionistaBy Day, For Play, Summer Fashion, Weekend WearLeave a Comment

Hi all! Happy Sunday! In Arizona, spring has arrived in full force – meaning we are already hitting 90 degrees. This heat is REAL. My husband and I enjoyed a festival in Scottsdale late Saturday afternoon and I just had to share my outfit! I think it ended up being so comfy yet stylish. Whenever E and I plan to attend a local event, I’m one of those girls who has to google for photos to see what everyone usually wears. I like to see a full mix of styles before I pick an outfit. (Self conscious, YES! That’s me!)  Well, for one of the first times EVER, I had this outfit picked out way ahead of time! It is that good! GIRLS! Look … Read More
