Raw hems and spring florals are a match made in heaven! Hello shabby-chic. Today’s post is dedicated to these two styles. My closet typically holds very classic pieces, but now and then I have to say it is fun to welcome what’s trending now. Silver Jeans: Suki Ankle Skinny Here’s a fresh take on an old favorite skinny jean: the Suki Ankle Skinny Dark Wash with a frayed hem by Silver Jeans Co. If you have been following me on Instagram & Instastories the past month, you know I have both a deep love for the Silver Jeans fit, and have owned various washes and styles of Silver Jeans – loving them all. I am a girl with curves in the middle (if you know what I mean), and I don’t … Read More

Flare Jeans + Off the Shoulder Top

Today I’m sharing two old trends I love that have come back around: flare jeans and off-the-shoulder tops! Flares with heels or wedges give girls the opportunity to sport something other than skinny jeans. Let’s face it – if you’re like me, there are days you just don’t want to squeeze into your skinnies, lol! Off-the-shoulder tops are such feminine pieces. If you find just the right one, it can go with quite a few outfits. I like a simple style like this one from She-In. It is PERFECT because you can wear the “sleeves” off the shoulders or pull the “sleeves” up for more modesty. March Instagram Round-up

At the end of every month, I like to post my 4 top favorite #ootd’s (outfits of the day) on my Instagram. Now that I have a blog going, I thought it might be helpful to ’round up’ the looks and list the details below (similar details are listed if the exact piece is not available). I have 7 work styles from March, and 3 weekend ootd’s. The weather in Arizona has been pretty up and down with near 90 degree temperatures to temps in the low 60’s (which then feels freezing!).  I noticed as I was putting this all together that I have been very into stripes, blacks, whites, and blues… pretty normal for me! See all #ootd details below. – – … Read More

Happy Saturday, all! Today I’m featuring a casual tank from Shop Sunday Brunch! This is a new boutique, and I have enjoyed getting to know Angie – the gal behind it all – through Instagram. This racer back tank finishes off a perfect weekend look. I love, no, I mean loooooove going to brunch and I love all brunch foods and drinks, so this tank speaks to me! Styling my “You had me at Brunch” Tank It looks adorable with distressed skinnies, and it will flow right into summer with denim or colored shorts, too. The material is rayon and spandex, so it is soft and comfortable. Outfit Details: Distressed Silver Jeans  |  Brunch Tank (I’m in a Medium)  |  Bucket Bag  | … Read More

Snowy Weekend with Silver Jeans

Teacher FashionistaBy Day, Featured Collaborations, For Play, Weekend Wear, Winter Fashion1 Comment

To celebrate the long MLK Jr. Holiday weekend, E and I traveled almost 2 hours north to enjoy some peace and solitude in the snow! We packed up the truck and our two pups, and had such a fun and relaxing time at a cabin! While we were there, I couldn’t resist taking some photos in the snow. I decided this would be a beautiful place to showcase the new Suki Mid Skinny destroyed denim by Silver Jeans! I have shared in this post why I love the Suki fit.  They hug my body so well, and I am in LOVE with the distresses on this pair. Today I am sharing a small business with you – The Market Boutique! I am featuring their knit sweater vest which comes in a variety of colors. This little business is based in Carrollton, Georgia, and has some trendy pieces for any woman. Some of my favorite things they carry are scarves and dresses, and they also carry plus sizes! The best part about shopping with a small boutique? Finding unique clothing and accessories — and that is exactly what I found in this sweater vest. Think blanket cardigan turned vest! Styling a Sweater Vest I paired the vest with my favorite Suki Flare Jeans from Silver Jeans, and I also think they’d look great with Silver’s Suki Skinnies and some brown boots like these! Olive Green Jacket

Olive green has been a “hot hue” for a few years now, and this fall, I decided to find one of those coveted green, military-inspired jackets. Finding the perfect one proved to be difficult because there are so many to choose from! Being on a teacher’s budget, I didn’t want to spend over $100 on a jacket. So when I saw this one for under $50, I knew I had to try it! Dressing the Olive Jacket Trend I chose peep-toe booties to wear with this outfit to bring it into our fall season. I also really like how the taupe-colored top accents the olive green. This is the top I posted on Instagram a while back that has darling ruffle sleeves. If the sun … Read More

Dare to Flare

Teacher FashionistaCasual, Featured Collaborations, Teacher Styles, Wear to Work, Weekend Wear

Hello 70’s! I am one of those people who is excited to see flare jeans again! They add some diversity when I’m making choices on which “bottoms” to wear instead of just the go-to skinnies. Silver Jeans have been my favorite fit in jeans since I was in high school. I have had various washes and styles ranging from boot cut to skinnies, and have loved them all. Suki Mid Flare Jeans Today I’m wearing a new style: the Suki Mid Flare by Silver Jeans Co. I am a girl with curves in the middle (if you know what I mean), and I don’t want gaping around the waist because of that – which is what brought me to the Silver Jeans brand years … Read More
