Peplum Top | Fashion Junkee | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Before I dive into the topic at hand, how is it already mid October? Is anyone else baffled at how quickly the months pass by? Maybe it’s because we are still holding onto summer temperatures in Arizona, but maybe it’s because life is full, blessed, and E & I are always looking for what is in store for us next! Gray Peplum Top Peplum tops are so flattering, and this flowy one is no exception! It is roomy, light-weight, and has such a “girl next door” appeal. I chose this gray peplum top from Fashion Junkee because I knew it would double for work wear with black pants (these are my FAVORITE work pants!) or weekend wear with a favorite … Read More

Achieving a casual date night look with your closet staples can get you a pretty classic and put-together outfit. Last minute date night? No problem. Look around for your favorite pair of jeans, a white tee, and then start pulling in colors with a fun bag or clutch, and of course jewelry. The hardest decision might be if you want to wear flats or heels! In the summer, a good compromise is a fun pair of wedges. Using staple pieces can bring an outfit together quickly for any last minute plans to go out. The Denim Raw hems are all the rage this season, so you can imagine my excitement when Silver Jeans fashioned my favorite Sukis with this trend! … Read More

Silver Jeans | Raw Hem | Floral Tank | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Raw hems and spring florals are a match made in heaven! Hello shabby-chic. Today’s post is dedicated to these two styles. My closet typically holds very classic pieces, but now and then I have to say it is fun to welcome what’s trending now. Silver Jeans: Suki Ankle Skinny Here’s a fresh take on an old favorite skinny jean: the Suki Ankle Skinny Dark Wash with a frayed hem by Silver Jeans Co. If you have been following me on Instagram & Instastories the past month, you know I have both a deep love for the Silver Jeans fit, and have owned various washes and styles of Silver Jeans – loving them all. I am a girl with curves in the middle (if you know what I mean), and I don’t … Read More

Knit-Lace Navy Tunic

Navy Tunic Sweater | Grace & Lace | Teacherfashionista | Jules

Today I am sharing another blog-worthy look from Grace & Lace. This tunic top will be such a great piece for transitioning into spring. Because it is a sort of knit-lace material, it is breezy, light, and comfortable. The neck can be worn completely off-the-shoulders, or scrunched up for more of a boat-neck look like I wore it. I layered this open-knit tunic with a navy undergarment, but it would also look awesome with something white underneath. I know that once it’s warm enough out, this will go so perfectly with a pair of white denim shorts, a white layering tank, and some platform wedge sandals. (Spring and summer tan come quickly, lol!)  Outfit Details:  My jeans are out of stock, these are almost identical   |  c/o Romantic Lace … Read More

Looking for capsule wardrobes for 2017 or ways to style the same pieces with a new spin? This post is dedicated to styling just a few pieces in multiple ways. I chose to change up my pants, boots, and cardigans to style 12 different outfits with Grace & Lace! They are hosting a 5-hour sale TONIGHT (Jan. 2, 2017) giving 50% off site-wide from 6PM until 11PM CST! (Some exclusions apply.) Two of my absolute favorite classic pieces from Grace & Lace are their perfect fit skirt & tank. Flare Jeans + Off the Shoulder Top

Teacher FashionistaFeatured Collaborations, For Play, Summer Fashion, Weekend WearLeave a Comment

Today I’m sharing two old trends I love that have come back around: flare jeans and off-the-shoulder tops! Flares with heels or wedges give girls the opportunity to sport something other than skinny jeans. Let’s face it – if you’re like me, there are days you just don’t want to squeeze into your skinnies, lol! Off-the-shoulder tops are such feminine pieces. If you find just the right one, it can go with quite a few outfits. I like a simple style like this one from She-In. It is PERFECT because you can wear the “sleeves” off the shoulders or pull the “sleeves” up for more modesty. Suki Mid Flare Jeans Here’s a fresh take on an old favorite: the Suki Mid Flare Light Wash by Silver Jeans Co. I have … Read More

Today I am sharing a small business with you – The Market Boutique! I am featuring their knit sweater vest which comes in a variety of colors. This little business is based in Carrollton, Georgia, and has some trendy pieces for any woman. Some of my favorite things they carry are scarves and dresses, and they also carry plus sizes! The best part about shopping with a small boutique? Finding unique clothing and accessories — and that is exactly what I found in this sweater vest. Think blanket cardigan turned vest! Styling a Sweater Vest I paired the vest with my favorite Suki Flare Jeans from Silver Jeans, and I also think they’d look great with Silver’s Suki Skinnies and some brown boots like these! Olive Green Jacket

Teacher FashionistaCasual, Teacher Styles, Wear to Work, Weekend Wear

Olive green has been a “hot hue” for a few years now, and this fall, I decided to find one of those coveted green, military-inspired jackets. Finding the perfect one proved to be difficult because there are so many to choose from! Being on a teacher’s budget, I didn’t want to spend over $100 on a jacket. So when I saw this one for under $50, I knew I had to try it! Dressing the Olive Jacket Trend I chose peep-toe booties to wear with this outfit to bring it into our fall season. I also really like how the taupe-colored top accents the olive green. This is the top I posted on Instagram a while back that has darling ruffle sleeves. If the sun … Read More
