Summer to Fall Dress | Floral Dress | Nordstrom | Teacherfashionista | Jules

School will be in full swing come Monday, but for now I want to focus on the fact that today is FRIDAY and I am really looking forward to the weekend to rest. I have had mostly 12 hour days getting my classroom ready – but things finally came together – yay! Now I can get my brain into teaching mode! When I noticed this dress (and the $29.90 sale price!) I decided to snag it. I know navy is a wonderful color for both summer and fall, as it goes with neutrals and browns so well. To make this work appropriate in our summer heat, I think styling it with sandals and a denim or waterfall vest would look … Read More

Back to School: Grey Denim, 2 Tops

The 2017-18 school year is here! Teachers in my district are going back for Inservice this week, and students come August 7th. You guys is it just me, or did those 2 months of summer break absolutely fly by?! I feel like every year my summer break goes quicker than the last! We moved from the house we’d been renting for 2.5 years (our landlord decided to sell it) into an apartment (and storage unit) right as the school year was ending, so I do feel like I spent a lot of my summer trying to get us settled in a bit. I always feel blessed to have time off in the summer, though, and know that is a perk … Read More

Back to School | Banana Republic Factory | Casual Friday | Teacherfashionista | Jules

We made it! It’s Friday! Friday mornings are my FAVORITE ! I mean – Saturdays REALLY are, but let’s be real – when we finally get to Friday we know some R&R is right around the corner. I always wake up eager to get through the day and on to the weekend! During the school year, I appreciate dressing for “Casual Fridays.” My school allows us to wear blue denim any day of the week as long as it is not faded or distressed (who is wearing that kind of denim to work, anyway!? Sign me up for that job, lol!!). I typically try to save my blue denim for Fridays, and this look with Banana Republic Factory’s peplum top has me … Read More

Do you ever head to happy hour or dinner out after work? Then this post on styling black denim is for you! About once every two weeks, my husband and I end up meeting for dinner out. On those days, I like wearing an outfit that I can change or add simple touches to in order to take it from work to “play.” During my “back to school” shopping experience with Banana Republic Factory, I tried on their high-rise skinny denim for the first time. Ladies – the fit does not disappoint! The fabric feels fabulous and the fit is slimming. I totally appreciate that the denim is dark, thick material and suitable to wear any day of the week. It is easy … Read More

March Instagram Round-up

At the end of every month, I like to post my 4 top favorite #ootd’s (outfits of the day) on my Instagram. Now that I have a blog going, I thought it might be helpful to ’round up’ the looks and list the details below (similar details are listed if the exact piece is not available). I have 7 work styles from March, and 3 weekend ootd’s. The weather in Arizona has been pretty up and down with near 90 degree temperatures to temps in the low 60’s (which then feels freezing!).  I noticed as I was putting this all together that I have been very into stripes, blacks, whites, and blues… pretty normal for me! See all #ootd details below. – – … Read More
